This monument will be of national significance because it honors not only those who serve on submarines but those who make that service possible – men and women who toiled many hours to develop a submersible boat to help defeat our enemies.
In World War II, they pumped out submarines at an unprecedented rate.
During the Cold War, they developed cutting-edge technology that deterred threats of aggression to our nation — your nation. Not only here on the Thames River, but in other shipyards throughout the country. We need to recognize these great designers and builders who crafted raw material into a frontline ship of the line from 1899 to the present. Show your support for them by supporting this monument.
The Donor Wall is not just a list of generous supporters and donors but a list of individuals and companies who understand the significance of the efforts made by the designers, builders, maintainers and sailors of the Silent Service. Your name will also celebrate the community and families who support this great industry and service.
Don’t miss the opportunity to honor the men and women of the Silent Service and the men and women who work to produce and maintain our nation’s submarines to the highest standards.
By donating to this unique monument, you – or your company – will also be honored as a supporter of the people who bring alive the technology that makes our submarines such vital, successful assets for our nation’s defense.
Thousands of visitors will walk through this unique monument and bear witness to a legacy of service and support. By inscribing your name on the donor wall, they will recognize you as being part of this legacy.
All gifts of $1,000 and above will be remembered on our donor wall at the monument.
